QUILTING!  Dates for upcoming quilting sessions are:  Feb. 17;  Mar. 3, 17 & 31;  April 14 & 28.  We quilt from 8:00 a.m. until Noon.  Join us for all or part of the morning.  All are welcome!

 

THE SEASON OF LENT:  As Lent begins, we focus our attention on the price paid by our Lord for our salvation.  These services begin this week with Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 p.m.  Preceding these services, we serve a meal.  We need families or organizations to sponsor these meals.  Available dates are:  2/24  & 3/10.  Notify the church office if you can take one of these dates.

 

ALTAR GUILD:  The Altar Guild will meet today following the second service to discuss the upcoming Easter breakfast.  We welcome current members and anyone who may be considering joining us!

  

THE LWML  MEETINGS originally scheduled for last Tuesday (2/9) are rescheduled for this Tuesday, February 16^th at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

 

ST. PAUL’S LWML is adopting the Union Grove Food Bank as our local mission. We are asking that each time a member comes to a meeting (ie evangelism, elder, LWML etc) here at church and perhaps each Sunday, as you can, bring one can or more of canned fruit. We will make a monthly suggestion  to start adding to the stock at the Food Bank. It does not have to be the last Sunday of the month.  We will  make sure the donations get to the Food  bank in a timely manner.  Thank you and blessings to all.

 

DIRECTORY:  There is a sample 2010 Church Directory in the Narthex;  please check it out.  We need donations to make it a full directory.  We are also asking that if there are any mistakes in the sample, please let David or Maryann Melby know about it.  There is a sign up sheet for donations by the directories.  There are also sign up sheets there for photo shoots, please sign up for your appointment as soon as possible.  Any question, please call David or Maryann Melby at 878-2892.  If requested, your photos will not be placed on the church website.

 

16^TH ANNUAL WINTER MUSIC CONCERT at  St. Paul's Sunday is this afternoon at 3:00 P.M. and is dedicated to the Memory of Lee Guenzler, who often told us how much he appreciated the music of the Choirs at St. Paul’s.  Please come and enjoy our musicians as well as the Riverport Chorus, a women's barbershop group.   "Coffee and" after!

 

CHOIR will be meeting for rehearsal at 6:15 each Wednesday during Lent.  We will then be singing at the worship service immediately after rehearsal.  Any singers are invited to come and sing with us during Lent.  Greta Martin
